The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (HOT) at the University of Minnesota, in partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center (an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center), is seeking a board certified or board eligible Malignant Hematologist.
This position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic or Clinician Track (non-tenure). We seek a collaborative physician-scientist, clinical investigator, or clinician-educator who will deliver outstanding patient care and contribute to the advancement of clinical, translational, and/or laboratory research across hematologic malignancies. Areas of focus may include--but are not limited to--acute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, plasma cell disorders, myeloid malignancies, cellular therapy, and transplantation.
Position Highlights:
- Provide outstanding clinical care to patients with hematologic malignancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in and/or lead clinical, translational, or basic science research programs aligned with institutional priorities.
- Develop, implement, and oversee investigator-initiated and cooperative group clinical trials as appropriate.
- Contribute to teaching and mentorship across undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and fellowship training.
- Collaborate with division, department, and cancer center leadership to advance programmatic growth in malignant hematology.
- Comprehensive Malignant Hematology Program! A nationally recognized program providing advanced care across the full spectrum of hematologic malignancies, including access to cellular therapies, transplantation, and early-phase clinical trials.
- Collaborative Research Environment. Work within the Masonic Cancer Center, where multidisciplinary teams drive discovery in cancer biology, immunotherapy, genome engineering, population sciences, and survivorship. Faculty benefit from strong partnerships across pediatrics, surgery, radiation oncology, and basic sciences.
- Career Development & Leadership Opportunities. Faculty receive robust institutional support to develop independent research programs or clinical leadership portfolios. Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients with benign hematologic disorders
- Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for academic medicine
- Evidence of research productivity or interest in developing academic focus (clinical, translational, or basic science)
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology fellowship-training program.
- Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $270,000 - $465,407 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
