Job Description Under the direct supervision of the Pathology Supervisor, the Histotechnologist is responsible for performing all routine microtomy and staining of surgical specimens, including IHC and special stains, and prepares tissues for microscopic diagnosis by a Pathologist, utilizing a variety of manual, semi-automated, and automated technologies. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of tissue through the pre-analytic to post-analytic phase in the Anatomic Pathology laboratory.
