Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Laboratory Scientist I for our Atlantic Consolidated Lab in Morris Plains for the Immunology Department to work varied shifts, including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Processing and accessioning of Molecular/Immunology patient specimens
- Analyze and report patient results
- Call critical results
- Perform quality control as per SOP
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Stay current by continuing education, competencies
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
BS, MT or MLS (ASCP) or eligible
In order to be considered for an interview: Must provide copy of BS diploma with MT or MLS specified on diploma
If MT or MLS not specified, must provide transcript
If foreign diploma, must provide foreign equivalency
Qualifications:
- Able to lift 20 lbs.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service with a positive team spirit
- Excellent communication, collaborative, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
