Position Information:
The Cytotechnologist performs specialized tasks involved in screening slides of clinical specimens to detect evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the morphology of normal cells and cellular changes associated with physiological states, reactive processes, inflammatory changes and changes resulting from effects of specific forms of treatment such as irradiation and chemotherapy. Evaluates the quality of specimen preparation utilizing knowledge of the expanding variety of methods of preparation and staining in the laboratory.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory Preferred

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Cytotechnology Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Cytotechnologist Required - Within 1 Year of Hire

Hours of Work:
Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
