The Department of Pathology, Division of Autopsy Pathology, invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position as Director of the Autopsy Service. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a medical staff appointment in The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a courtesy staff appointment at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Applicants must have an M.D. or an M.D./Ph.D. degree, and be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. A State of Maryland medical license is required. The faculty member will participate in the diagnostic autopsy service, teaching, and development of an independent or collaborative research program in clinical, translational, or basic research. Opportunities offered by the position include a Rapid Autopsy Program (as Part of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins) and a named endowment to support fellowship training.
