Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a FT RN, Nurse Navigator in the AMG PED Hematology / Oncology, located in Morristown, NJ
Provide continued education and support for all newly diagnosed pediatric hematology and oncology patients and their families.
Coordination of care - ensuring quality patient care, so the family can focus on their child, the patient. This includes but is not limited to planning and scheduling initial imaging, assessments, labs, consults, family meetings and appointments.
Enhance communication between the family patient/family with the interdisciplinary and interdepartmental teams
Point of contact for all referrals, second-opinions, handling of lab specimens and send-outs, and imaging within the hospital and with collaborating facilities as needed.
Will maintain a professional role that will continue to adapt and incorporate new evidence-based practice methods to better support patient and family needs
Assist APNs with medication prior authorizations
Will assist with miscellaneous tasks that arise as needed within the Valerie Center to support safe and quality patient care, as well as workflow.
Current NJ RN Licensed
Certified Oncology Nurse Navigator; or willing to become certified within 6 months of hire
CPHON preferred or willing to become certified within 6 months of hire
Must have 3+ years pediatric acute care/hematology/oncology experience.
