A Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center ARNP/PA-C is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management of lymphoma patients at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. They follow patients during their treatment and provide medical supportive care, as well as surveillance after completion of treatment. The ARNP/PA-C assesses and manages basic health needs of patients, addresses treatment toxicities, performs procedures, monitors for cancer progression or recurrence, and consults with professional peers as needed. They work collaboratively with the treatment team to coordinate care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician.
Assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical issues in patients Hematologic diseases. The successful candidate will be expected to work both independently and in collaboration with other physicians and members of the care delivery team to manage diverse issues that may include lymphoma management, chemotherapy management, infection surveillance and treatment, blood product transfusion, and pain management
Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences to discuss, develop, and refine patient care goals and plans
Minimum of one year of experience as an ARNP or PA-C
Strong communication skills are essential.
Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must! Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
Experience working with patients with lymphoma pateints is a plus.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Washington state licensure
DEA licensure required upon credentialing
ACLS required within 6 months of hire date.
EPIC experience required; prefer experience with CPOE.

Excellent communication and clinical skills are necessary to ensure optimum patient care outcomes in a complex care environment.
Teaching, able to effectively communicate information about disease processes, treatments, and management of treatment toxicities to patients and family caregivers.
SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.
