Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Laboratory Scientist III in the Core Lab at Overlook Medical Center to work 7am - 3pm Monday - Friday including weekends as needed.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Position:
Oversees the operation of the Core Laboratory, including writing technical procedures, documents and forms
Reviews all monthly quality control and preventative maintenance
Works with team and vendors to troubleshoot equipment problems; documents corrective actions
Assists Supervisor in evaluating annual team performance and competencies
Oversees the department schedule and bench assignments
Assists the Supervisor in on-boarding of new staff and ensures completion of training checklists
Assists Supervisor with assigning, and submitting CAP PT surveys
Assists Supervisor with compiling of PT Results
Assists Supervisor with CAP Self, Routine, and Non Routine Inspections
Will also work a bench as needed
Minimum Education Required:
BS degree is Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Technology
ASCP or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist certification preferred
Minimum Experience Required:
3+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory required
