Hematology Opportunities

Our Oncology units are fast paced units that include high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our Oncology leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building each team member. 

Patient Population:  

• Hematology (Liquid Tumor) Oncology patients including: Leukemias, Lymphomas, Multiple Myelomas, Anemias Pre and Post Bone Marrow Transplant patients, Solid Tumor Oncology including: Liver, Pancreatic, Lung, Gastric, Rectal
• Research trials including: first in human trials (phase 1) to post FDA approval (phase 4)
• Even CAR-T cell recipients!
• Patients in all phases of Cancer Care from Initial Diagnosis to End of Life transition

Patient Ratios:  RN to patient ratio 1:4 on days and 1:4/5 on nights

Number of Beds: 24 bed Medical Surgical level of care inpatient unit

Unit selling points: Practitioners from groups including; Hematology, BMT, Solid Tumor Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine

• Pharmacists on unit 7 days per week and evenings
• Multidisciplinary Rounds with physicians, PT, OT and case managers and leadership
• Leadership that believes in transparent and open communication and recognition of staff for the excellent work they do
