Supervising Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Statewide)

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking experienced laboratory technologists, like you, to provide technical direction, guidance, and supervision to clinical laboratory staff. Here, in a multidisciplinary setting, your knowledge and skills will contribute greatly to the diagnosis and treatment of the diverse patient population in our care.

In this key position, you will:

• Assign, direct, and check the work of lower level laboratory staff; instruct staff on laboratory principles and practices; evaluate laboratory staff work and take corrective action as needed
• Evaluate new laboratory techniques and procedures; draft new and update existing technical procedures
• Direct the tabulating and recording of tests

To thrive in this role, you must have:

• A valid California State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or a license of equal or higher level issued by the State Department of Health Services
  AND
• At least three years of experience in comprehensive clinical laboratory work that involved making laboratory analyses
