Clinical Laboratory Scientist
ResponsibilitiesThe Blood Bank is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Primary duties include: •Patient transfusion testing and immunology problem work-ups•Computer data entry and retrieval•Quality control testing, quality assurance activities, and donor quality assurance•Provide transfusion support for patients of UCLA Medical Center, including trauma and transplant patients•Record and review test results for accuracy and completeness; maintain lab records•Assist patients with inquiries regarding test resultsNote: the normal shift is 12:30 – 9:00pm. For weekends and holidays, shift is 3:00pm – 11:30pm.
