The Department of Pathology of UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an accomplished academic pathologist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank with subspecialty training and expertise in Thoracic/Pulmonary Pathology. Appointment rank, track and opportunity to direct the subspecialty service will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience. This position supports a large and growing pulmonary and cardiac oncologic, interstitial and transplant service and includes a funded fellowship position. In addition to patient care activities, the incumbent will be expected to participate in medical student and house staff teaching and develop or continue his/her research program. Outstanding opportunities for collaborative, translational research are available with members of basic science and clinical departments throughout UTSW. There will be an opportunity to co-direct the pathology core for one of only five lung cancer SPORE grants in the U.S.

Candidates must possess an MD, MD/PhD, or DO; hold current AP or AP/CP ABP Board Certification; and be eligible for Texas medical license.
