Job Summary

DANVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA (USA). Geisinger Laboratory Medicine is searching for a board-certified Molecular pathologist to join the Department of Laboratory Medicine.Candidates should be BE/BC in Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) and Clinical Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and must be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Expertise in Next Generation Sequencing and clinical molecular analyses is required. Additional expertise in whole exome/genome sequencing, germ-line testing, circulating tumor DNA testing and additional subspecialty training (besides MGP) is highly desirable.

Job Duties

At a Glance:
 

  • Over 36,000 annual molecular tests in oncology, genetics and infectious diseases.
     
  • Over 1,100 next generation sequencing tests in oncology
     
  • Team of 13 pathologists covering clinical pathology services, 28 anatomic and molecular pathologists, and 6 clinical PhDs
     
  • Clinical pathology call shared by ten pathologists; remote call capability
     
  • Teaching responsibilities including medical students, residents, and fellows in pathology and non-laboratory specialties
     
  • Academic/research opportunities of the health system and school of Medicine
     
  • Strong health system, growing and responsive to community and system needs
