The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking a Molecular Pathologist (MD, MD/PhD) to join our rapidly expanding program in genomic pathology. Candidates must be certified in Anatomic Pathology or in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology as well as certified in Molecular Genetic Pathology. The successful applicant must possess skills in cancer genomics and molecular diagnostics. Experience in next generation sequencing platforms and hands-on experience with molecular analyses in clinical laboratories is required. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to spend part of their time signing out in an anatomic pathology subspecialty. This full-time position will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor on the ladder faculty. The candidate will have teaching responsibilities in the accredited Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship program as well as the residency programs. Candidates will be expected to also contribute to the Department’s research and clinical missions. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut. The Department serves Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, and is the major teaching and referral center in southern Connecticut.
