Academic Perinatal Pathologist
The Department of Pathology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, invites applications for a non-tenured full-time anatomic pathologist with sub specialty training in perinatal pathology at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Responsibilities include excellence in clinical diagnostic service and teaching in perinatal pathology, and could also include service in adult autopsy pathology, pediatric surgical pathology or gynecologic pathology. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of productivity and scholarship in perinatal pathology. The candidate will join an existing team of perinatal and autopsy pathologists, who together examine over 3500 placentas, 80-100 perinatal autopsies, and 150-175 adult autopsies per year. Pediatric surgical pathology service at Lurie Children’s Hospital or gynecologic surgical pathology service at Northwestern Medicine are additional options for the appropriate candidate. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty is expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.
