The Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the Clinical Scholar track or Clinical Educator track, commensurate with training, experience, and academic record.
This position will involve sign-out duties in Surgical Pathology, resident training activities, and participation in one or more clinical conferences. The Department has an ACGME accredited residency program and subspecialty fellowships.
The Department places an emphasis on scholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University teaching faculty and time will be allocated to pursue the intradepartmental and interdepartmental opportunities for independent and/or translational research. Development of specialized expertise is strongly encouraged.
Candidates with fellowship training will be given preference. Subspecialty training in Oncologic Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology or Genito-Urinary Pathology are all desirable. Medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
