Academic Pathologist Perinatal and Autopsy
The Department of Pathology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, invites applications for a non-tenured full-time anatomic pathologist faculty with subspecialty training in perinatal pathology at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to start on or before July 1, 2018. Applicants must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology, as well as be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois.
The successful candidate will display excellence in diagnosis and teaching in perinatal, anatomic and autopsy pathology, as well as have a record of demonstrated productivity and scholarship in this area. The candidate will join an existing team of perinatal and autopsy pathologists, who together examine over 3500 placentas, 80-100 perinatal autopsies, and 150-175 adult autopsies per year. Pediatric surgical pathology service at Lurie Children’s Hospital is an option for the appropriate candidate that is diagnostically outstanding and board certified in Pediatric Pathology. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty is expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.
