Academic Surgical /Pulmonary pathologist
The Department of Pathology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, invites applications for a non-tenured full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor on or before February 1, 2018. Applicants must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology, as well as be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois. Fellowship training or other significant experience in surgical pathology and pulmonary pathology is required. Rank and remuneration will be determined by qualification and experience.
The successful candidate will display excellence in diagnosis and teaching in general surgical pathology and experience in pulmonary pathology is preferred, as well as have a record of demonstrated productivity and scholarship in these areas. Experience in other subspecialty areas is a plus. The Surgical Pathology Division offers subspecialty sign-out and works closely with other divisions of the department including hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, and diagnostic molecular pathology. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty are expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.
